5x100 to 5x114.3 Hub Drilling Template (BRZ/GT86/FRS)
Got some cool JDM wheels? Got a cool GT86, BRZ or FRS? Can’t fit them on those stupid 5×100 hubs? No probs - we got you.
Time to drill your hubs!
These templates bolt to your existing 5×100 wheel hubs (and brakes) and give you a perfect template to punch and drill a new set of holes in a 5x114.3 stud pattern.
Made from ABS plastic, one template is good for one car.
Notes: Pictures shown are of the BMW version - this 5×100 version has equal spacing between the holes.
Instructions
For best results, remove the wheel hubs from the car and use a drill press. This is a big job, and you don’t want to be doing it on the car. I repeat - THIS IS A BIG JOB.
Step 1: Remove the calipers and brake rotors. Remove the wheel hub (I reccomend watching the Gktech video on their really expensive conversion hubs)
Step 2: Place the template onto the wheel hub and bolt it down with all 5 wheel bolts in the 5×100 (big) holes
Step 3: Use a punch through the 5x114.3 (small) to mark the centre point for you to drill through.
Step 4: drill a pilot hole using a 3mm drill bit in a drill press.
Step 5: Repeat for all 5 holes.
Step 6: Use a 12.5mm or a 14mm drill bit (if converting to 14mm wheel studs) to drill out each of the 5 holes
Step 7: Use an old wheel bolt, lube and some washers to pull a new wheel stud through the 12.5 or 14mm holes.
Optional - Step 8: Weld a small tack onto the back of each stud to help prevent them spinning.
Step 9: Repeat for the other 3 wheels, and brake rotors.
Tips
This is a BIG job. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Do the front wheels first while the template is fresh
Use a lubricant on your drill bits and drill slow to avoid overheating the bit. Learn to sharpen drill bits on YouTube. It’s a good skill to have.
We use GKtech 14.3mm extended wheel studs and have had excellent results.
Fits Vehicles
Subaru BRZ (All year models)
Toyota GT86
Toyota GR86
Scion FRS
