The Process
All harnesses are hand-made, and in most cases will be measured on the car in person. (For remote harnesses, send us a message and we’ll talk about it). Once we have our measurements you can keep using the car until we’re done building the harness.
From there, we build a detailed wiring diagram from scratch, incorporating your choice of sensors and particular ECU. This is the key to building a beautiful harness with minimal wiring, simple layouts and maximum reliability.
Then - we build it! Typically turnaround times on a full engine harness is around 2-3 weeks. Things like weird connectors, tricky body loom integration or a really weird combination of engine/car might take longer - but we’ll work with your timeframe to make sure you make it to the event!
Why choose a Custom Engine Harness, and not an off the shelf option?
Every car is unique, and with that comes a unique set of requirements to make the perfect harness. There’s rarely a one-size-fits-all option for most cars we choose to build a harness for. Say for example, you have a stock SR20, in a stock 180sx, with a stock ECU. Even with all that - chances are you want a wideband. Maybe your speedo’s broken and you want a GPS speed unit. Extra sensors? Option to swap ECU’s down the road… The answer to all those problems is a custom harness.
